Ensuring timely delivery and payments, provided with the right export documents are some examples asking for expert workmanship! As Export/Sales Manager you play the leading role in this. The position:
As International Export / Sales Manager you are responsible for the sales of seed potatoes in a specific geographical area. The team you will be part of, focusses on countries in South America, Africa, Eastern Europe, Middle East and Central- & Southeast- Asia. You thus contribute strongly to the core activity of HZPC. You are creative in finding solutions and you think strategically, based on long-term plans. In addition, you work independently in this position, but at the same time you build in collaboration with the colleagues from Product Management, Sales Support, R & D and other Export /Sales managers to the joint objectives: the growth of HZPC by helping our customers to grow. You manage your own time which includes regular international traveling (think about 75 days a year).
Roughly your activities can be divided into three areas: 

Market development: it is essential to know what is going on in your markets. That is why you keep a close eye on trends and developments, identify new opportunities, research your sales opportunities and analyze the competition. Based on this information, you are able to introduce new HZPC-varieties.

Sales: You are responsible for all activities related to the actual sales. You ensure that the value of our products is recognized in the market, you sell the seed potatoes to existing and new customers and act according to the policy and the strategic objectives of HZPC. In addition, you negotiate, maximize the payment security of customers and ensure that the logistics run smoothly.

Relationship management: to achieve the best possible results, you maintain relationships in your area with various parties such as customers, distributors and agents. You create and guarantee customer satisfaction. Building trust is your 'core competence'.

Your profile:

  • At least a Bachelor degree example in agriculture or in marketing / commercial
  • At least 5 years of experience within the Agro sector in a similar job
  • Fluently speaking and writing English and at least French and/or Spanish.
